F 250 4WD Super Duty V8-5.4L SOHC VIN L (1999)
4. WARNING: Replace with new bolts after the third removal.
Mark and remove the four rear driveshaft to transfer case bolts.
5. NOTE: Wrap electrical tape around the bearing cups to prevent them from falling off the U-joint spider.
Remove the rear driveshaft.

Compress and separate the rear driveshaft from the rear axle then separate the driveshaft from the transfer case.
Installation
1. WARNING: Replace with new bolts and retainers after the third removal.
NOTE: Install the rear driveshaft with the index marks aligned.
NOTE: Prior to the third removal, clean the bolt threads and apply Loctite(R) 242 or equivalent.
Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
