Carefully remove the silk film bag from the seat back frame. See Figure 5.

Inspect the welds on the driver side seat back frame inboard pivot bracket for cracks. See Figure 6 for weld locations.

If cracks are found in the welds, Service Management must call the Special Service Support Center (SSSC) to request a Front Driver Seat Back
Kit.

If no cracks are found in the welds, proceed to the Clamp Installation Service Procedure.
