Fuel Filler Hose: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
WARNING: DO NOT SMOKE OR CARRY LIGHTED TOBACCO OR OPEN FLAME OF ANY TYPE WHEN WORKING ON OR NEAR
ANY FUEL RELATED COMPONENT. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE MIXTURES ARE ALWAYS PRESENT AND MAY BE IGNITED,
RESULTING IN POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.
1. Remove the fuel tank filler cap.
NOTE: This procedure covers both midship and aft-of-axle filler pipes. Midship filler pipe is shown in the illustrations, the aft-of-axle is similar.
2. Remove the screws.
3. Loosen the hose clamp on the fuel tank filler pipe support and grounding bracket, if applicable.
4. Disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe hose from the fuel tank.
