Disconnect and plug the vacuum hose to the VOTM kicker. x x

Place the transmission in specified position. x x x
6.
Check/adjust curb idle rpm - if adjustment is required:

Use the curb idle speed screw (Fig. 3 or 4). x x

Use the saddle bracket adjusting screw (ensure curb idle speed screw is not touching throttle shaft lever)
(Fig. 5).

7.
Place the transmission in Neutral or Park. Rev the engine momentarily. Place the transmission in specified position and recheck curb idle rpm.
Readjust if required.

8.
Disconnect EEC harness from processor assembly, and install Rotunda EEC tester. x x
9.
Check/adjust throttle position sensor (TPS). x x

Remove the plug from the vacuum hose to the VOTM kicker and reconnect. x

Apply a slight pressure on top of the nylon not located on the accelerator pump to take up the linkage clearance. x

Turn the nylon nut on the accelerator pump rod clockwise until a .010 +/- .005 clearance is obtained between the top of the accelerator pump and
the pump lever. x x
12.
Turn the accelerator pump rod nut one turn counterclockwise to set the lever lash preload. x x
13.
Trigger EEC-III System Self-Test. NOTE: If test result is not a passing Service Code, perform additional steps; corrective action indicated.

14.
Remove tester and reconnect processor assembly to
EEC harness.
