Axle Beam: Service and Repair
Axle Pivot Bushing
REMOVAL
1. Remove front coil spring.
NOTE: Individual bushing tools are included in Suspension Bushing Service Set T78P-5638-A and Front Suspension Bushing Tool
T80T-5638-A.
2. Remove the axle pivot nut and bolt.
3. Pull the pivot end of axle down until bushing is exposed.
4. Install Forcing Screw T78P-5638-A1, Bushing Remover T80T-5638-A2 and Receiver Cup T78P-5638-A4 onto pivot bushing.
5. Turn the forcing screw clockwise to remove the pivot bushing.
INSTALLATION
1. Place pivot bushing in axle. Assemble Receiver Cup T78P-5638-A2, Forcing Screw T78P-5638-A1 and Bushing Replacer T78P-5638-A3 as
