Clutch Pedal Assembly: Service and Repair
Clutch Pedal
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect clutch pedal retracting spring from clutch pedal and bracket.
2. Remove the nut that retains the clutch pedal to the clutch and brake pedal pivot shaft.
3. Remove the clutch pedal.
INSTALLATION
1. Position clutch pedal on shaft.
2. Install and tighten nut to 68-92 Nm (50-68 ft. lbs.).
3. Remove old pivot shaft lever and replace with a new one.
4. Install clutch pedal lever assist spring. Make sure clutch pedal lever assist spring engages in clutch pedal and bracket slots.
NOTE: Spring installation is easier if clutch pedal lever assist spring is first compressed in a vise and retained in a compressed state with
mechanic's wire until in place. Once in place, cut wire and remove.
