Slide the metal guard onto the fuel/water separator assembly and attach to the dash panel using the original bolts. Torque bolts to 22-30 ft.lbs. (See
Attachment II).

If the speed control servo was removed, reinstall the servo assembly bracket and tighten the attaching bolts to 11-13 ft.lbs. Refer to the Speed
Control System, Section 37, in the 1984 Light Truck Body, Chassis and Electrical Shop Manual, if necessary.
Start engine and inspect for fuel leaks around elbow fittings or drain hose. After inspecting vehicle, installation is complete.
