Disconnect the two port vacuum connector from the VRV which is located on the left side of the fuel injector pump (Figure 23).

Remove the throttle cable from the pump throttle lever which is located on the right side of the fuel injector pump (Figure 24).

Remove the throttle return spring. Install the end of the spring over the throttle lever ball stud and the other end over the throttle
cable support bracket. Insert the gage block, tool T83T-7B200-AH, between the pump boss and the wide-open throttle stop screw
(Figure 24). The spring will hold the throttle lever against the gage block for subsequent vacuum check and adjustment of the VRV.

Attach a vacuum pump to the upper port of the VRV, labeled "VAC" (Figure 25).
