Lower the vehicle to the floor and from inside the cab, remove the spring clip attaching the master cylinder push rod to the clutch pedal lever
(7A554) and remove the push rod from the master cylinder. (Figures 17 and 18).

3.

Install a new adjustable master cylinder push rod assembly, part number E3TZ-7641-A, to the master cylinder. Attach the (7641) push rod
assembly to the clutch (7A554) pedal lever. Secure with spring clip.

4.

Adjust push rod per instructions on tag attached to push rod as follows:

INSTALLATION/ADJUSTMENT

a.

Adjust push rod until freeplay between push rod and master cylinder piston is eliminated.

b.

Back off one-half turn.

c.

Tighten jam nut.

d.

With slave cylinder mounted on clutch housing, push release lever (7515) forward to assure the slave cylinder push rod can be depressed.
