LIGHT TRUCK:

1988-89 F-250, F-350

ISSUE:

Bucking and jerking, sometimes called "trailer hitching" during decel may be caused by the fuel injection pump. The fuel injection pump may
not maintain a constant flow of fuel to the injector nozzles. This concern is most noticeable while driving down a long downhill grade during

Follow the ENGINE PERFORMANCE CHART - 7.3L - DIESEL ENGINE DIAGNOSTIC GUIDE (FPS-8512-A or B). Complete the steps listed to
determine if replacement of the fuel pump is required. Make sure the truck is running acceptably before peforming this procedure.
