This article supersedes TSB 09-26-7 to update the vehicle model years, Title, Issue Statement and Service Procedure.
ISSUE
Some 2008-2010 F-Super Duty 250-350 vehicles equipped with 5.4L and 6.8L engine and 2009-2010 Mustang vehicles equipped with 4.0L engine may
exhibit diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0607 (control module performance) stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) memory.
ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
The calibration includes updates for the 2008-2010 F-Super Duty 250 and 350 vehicles equipped with 5.4L or 6.8L engine and have DTC P061B
(internal control module torque calculation performance) stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) memory. The P061B DTC does not affect the
2009-2010 Mustang. The 2008-2010 F-Super Duty 350-550 incomplete vehicle equipped with a 6.8L are not affected by either P0607 or P061B DTC.
Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using IDS release 69.02 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the
VCM 2010.9 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
