Throttle Body Spacer: Service and Repair
Throttle Body - Spacer
Removal
1. Remove the Throttle Body (TB). For additional information, refer to Throttle Body See: Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect the main vacuum harness from the TB spacer.
3. Disconnect the PCV tube quick connect coupling from the TB spacer.
4. Disconnect the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge valve vacuum tube quick connect coupling from the TB spacer.
5. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
6. Remove the 2 PCV heated element screws.
7. Remove the PCV heated element.
8. Remove the 2 upper TB spacer bolts.
9. Remove the 4 lower TB spacer bolts, the TB and discard the TB spacer gasket.
Installation
1. Position a new TB spacer gasket, the TB spacer and tighten the 4 lower bolts in 2 stages:

Stage 1: Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
