Removal and Installation
All vehicles
1. Place the steering wheel in the straight-ahead position.
2. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
F-250/350, Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) and F-450/550 vehicles
NOTE: To prevent the front suspension from shifting when the track bar is removed, the front suspension must be supporting the vehicle weight.
3. Position the jackstand under the front axle assembly.
4. Lower the vehicle until the front suspension is supporting the vehicle weight.
All vehicles
5. Remove the inner drag link cotter pin, nut retainer and nut.

Discard the cotter pin.

To install, tighten to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft).
6. NOTE: F-250/350 shown, F-450/550 similar.
Using the Steering Arm Remover, separate the inner drag link from the sector shaft arm.
F-250/350, 4WD and F-450/550 vehicles
7. Remove the track bar.
All vehicles
8. NOTE: The sector shaft arm nut has a dry adhesive on the threads. Do not reuse the sector shaft arm nut.
