Remove evaporator core as outlined in the appropriate Workshop Manual. Adjust evaporator core seal position to seal any gaps that will allow air
flow past any section of the core other than the fin area. Refer to Figures 1-5, as a guide. On Explorer/Mountaineer and Ranger vehicles, replace
the -19D578- evaporator seal with a new Evaporator Seal (XL2Z-19A672-AA) (Figure 5) to provide necessary sealing.

Reinstall evaporator core.
