1.
Raise the vehicle on a hoist.

Working through the left rear wheel opening, remove the parking brake cable bracket bolt and discard. See Figure 1.
WARNING
WHEN ROUTING THE RETAINING CABLE THROUGH THE CHANNEL BRACE, MAKE SURE THE PICKUP BOX CABLE DOES NOT
CONTACT THE FUEL TANK FILLER VENT TUBE.

Position the pickup box cable through the hole in the pickup box channel brace as shown in Figure 1.
CAUTION
On the inboard side of the left frame rail, the pickup box cable must be located between the brake line and the frame rail. On the outboard side, the
cable must be located between the parking brake cable and the frame rail. See Figure 2.

Starting from the inboard side of the left frame rail, install the new bolt through the cable eyelet so that the flat side is against the frame rail, and
then through the parking brake cable bracket hole in the frame rail. Place the parking brake cable bracket, then the other cable eyelet, over the bolt
and install the retaining nut. Tighten the nut to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft)
