ISSUE
Some 1999 Super Duty F-350/450/550 dual rear wheel equipped trucks may exhibit the front or rear center hub cap falling off while driving. This may
be caused by poor retention of the existing hub caps.
ACTION
Install revised hub cap assemblies. The revised hub cap has an improved retaining design to prevent the cap from falling off. Refer to the 1999 Super
Duty F-Series Workshop Manual for replacement procedure and the following text for additional information.
The new caps can easily be identified by a chrome Ford oval on the cap. Prior design had a blue Ford oval. It will be necessary to replace all four (4) hub
caps (two for front and two for rear) due to the cosmetic changes in the hub caps.
