Disassembly
1. Remove the pinion hex nut.
2. CAUTION: Hammering on the companion flange will close in the bearing bores and misalign the flange lugs. This will result in
premature failure of the journal needle bearings to other driveline components. Serious damage will also occur internally to the ring and
pinion set/pinion bearings by hammering on external parts. Remove and install the companion flange using only the procedures.
Remove the companion flange using the Yoke Remover.
