Test D: The CHECK AIR FILTER Display Is Inoperative/Always On

PINPOINT TEST D: THE CHECK AIR FILTER DISPLAY IS INOPERATIVE/ALWAYS ON

Normal Operation

The instrument cluster (IC) provides a reference voltage to the air filter sensor through circuit CE927 (GN/OG). When the air filter sensor detects
restricted air flow through the air filter indicating a restricted air filter, the sensor closes to ground through circuit GD122 (BK). Once the air filter
sensor closes to ground, the reference voltage is pulled low and the instrument cluster (IC) displays the check air filter message.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
