F-350/450 and 550 Dual Rear Wheel (DRW)

Removal and Installation

Dual rear wheel (DRW) brake disc 

1. Remove the wheel and tire.

2. NOTE: The brake disc is part of the wheel hub on all dual rear wheel (DRW) axle applications.

Remove the wheel bearing and hub assembly.

3. Remove the brake disc-to-wheel hub bolts.

To install, tighten to 121 Nm (89 lb-ft).

4. CAUTION: Do not allow the brake caliper to hang from the brake hose or damage to the hose can occur. 

Remove the anchor plate bolts and position the brake caliper and anchor plate assembly aside.

Support the caliper and anchor plate using mechanic's wire.

To install, tighten to 275 Nm (203 lb-ft).

5. Separate the brake disc from the hub.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
