Removal and Installation
1. NOTE: Refer to the Computers and Control Systems for correct vehicle communication module (VCM) hook-up procedure.
If servicing the powertrain control module (PCM), connect the scan tool to the vehicle. Allow the scan tool to identify the vehicle and obtain
configuration data.

All programmable module information will automatically be retrieved by the VCM.
2. Disconnect the 3 powertrain control module (PCM) electrical connectors.
