catalytic monitor in it.
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Remove and discard the 4 exhaust Y-pipe flange nuts, then remove and discard the gasket.
3. Loosen the catalytic converter-to-muffler coupling or, if equipped, catalytic converter-to-exhaust intermediate pipe coupling.
4. Disconnect the catalytic converter from the rubber isolator.
5. Remove the catalytic converter.
6. If installing a new catalytic converter, remove the catalyst monitor sensors.
Installation
NOTE: Do not tighten any fasteners until all components are aligned.
1. NOTE: Apply anti-seize to the threads of the catalyst monitor sensor before installation.
If removed, install the catalyst monitor sensor.
