2005-2006 F-Super Duty
ISSUE
Some 2005-2006 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 5.4L 3V engine may illuminate the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble
code (DTC) P0455 and/or some vehicles may exhibit an engine surge at low vehicle speed.
ACTION
Perform normal Powertrain Controls/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) lead diagnostics for P0455. If no issues are identified per the procedure, reprogram
the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using WDS release B41 .8 and higher or B42.1 and higher. This new calibration is not
included in the B42 CD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
