7. Disconnect the output shaft speed (OSS) sensor electrical connector.
4x4 vehicles
8. Using the special tool, remove the output shaft retaining nut.
All vehicles
NOTE: 4x4 extension housing shown, 4x2 similar.
9. Remove the 9 bolts and the extension housing.
10. Remove and discard the extension housing gasket.
