Transmission Mount: Service and Repair

Transmission Insulator and Retainer 
Removal 

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position on a hoist. 

2. Remove the rear transmission mount bolts and nuts.

3. Raise the transmission upward, off the transmission mount and remove the mount.

Installation 

1. Install the rear transmission mount and lower the transmission onto the crossmember.

2. NOTE: It may be necessary to raise the back of the transmission slightly in order to install the bolts.

Loosely install the transmission support insulator bolts.
