Position the hoist to the body. Using the Universal Cab Hold-Down Strap, secure the body to the hoist.
30. Install the Engine Lifting Bracket on the Front End Accessory Drive (FEAD) bracket.
31. NOTICE: Use a Heavy Duty Floor Crane and load leveler rated at a minimum of 907 kg (2,000 lb) or damage to the vehicle may occur.
Position the Heavy Duty Floor Crane with a commercially available load leveler and attach the chains to the front of the engine.
32. NOTE: If the engine or body is raised too quickly, the space required to remove the oil pan will not be enough. Check the height several times
while lifting.
With the help of an assistant, lift the engine and raise the body 101.6 mm (4 in) at the same time. Check the clearance between the cab mount and
the body.
33. Support the engine with jackstands or other suitable support devices.
34. Remove the remaining oil pan bolts and position the oil pan to access the oil pickup tube bolts.
35. Remove the 2 bolts for the oil pickup tube and place the tube in the oil pan. Remove the oil pan.

Remove and discard the oil pickup tube O-ring seal.
36. Remove and discard the press-in-place gasket.
Installation
All vehicles
1. Install a new press-in-place gasket for the oil pan.
2. NOTE: Install a new O-ring seal on the oil pickup tube and place the tube in the oil pan.
Position the oil pan and install the pickup tube and 2 bolts.

Tighten to 13 Nm (115 lb-in).
3. Install the oil pan and the 22 bolts.
1. Install the 5 longer oil pan bolts.
