16. NOTE: Install a new horizontal EGR cooler gasket prior to installing the vertical EGR cooler.
Position the vertical EGR cooler assembly and loosely install the 5 bolts.
17. Install a new vertical EGR cooler gasket and install the stud.

Tighten to 31 Nm (23 lb-ft).
18. Install the nut and bolt for the vertical EGR cooler.

Tighten to 31 Nm (23 lb-ft).
Late build vehicles
19. Connect the hose to the EGR cooler.
20. Connect the EGRT sensor electrical connector.
