Remove the fuel filler neck retaining screws. See Figure 5.

Loosen the fuel filler tube retainer clamp and slide from the fuel filler tube retainer. See Figure 6.

Loosen the fuel filler vent tube hose clamp and fuel filler tube hose clamp. See Figure 6.

Separate the fuel filler neck from the pickup box mounting hole and remove from the vehicle.
6.
Drain the fuel from the fuel tank.
7.
Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
8.
Position a jack stand under the fuel tank and remove the fuel tank retaining bolts.
9.
Lower the fuel tank far enough to gain access to the rivets on the fuel tank bracket, located on the crossmember above the fuel tank, near the left
frame rail.
