Oil Pressure Regulator Valve: Testing and Inspection
Valve to Housing Clearance

1. Using plug gauge, measure regulator valve bore.
2. Using micrometer, measure outside of plunger.
3. Subtract plunger diameter from bore size and check against specifications. 
4. If clearance is excessive, replace oil pump.
