Oil Pressure Sender: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Remove oil filter with Oil Filter Wrench D79L-6731-A or D79L-6731-B or equivalent.
2. Remove the oil cooler mounting bolt insert, oil cooler and oil cooler adapter.
3. Remove oil pressure sensor from cylinder block.
INSTALLATION
1. Install oil pressure sensor in cylinder block. Tighten to 11-24 Nm (8-18 ft. lbs.).
2. Install oil cooler and oil cooler mounting bolt insert to cylinder block. Tighten to 54-61 Nm (40-45 ft. lbs.).
3. Install oil filter adapter to oil cooler. Tighten to 3-6 Nm (27-53 inch lbs.).
NOTE: Make sure to properly position the O-ring on the oil filter adapter mounting bolt. Apply a light film of petroleum jelly or SAE 50 oil to
the O-ring to hold it in place and position in the groove on the oil cooler prior to tightening the mounting bolt.
4. Prior to installation of oil filter, apply a light film of 5W30 motor oil on the oil filter gasket.
5. Install oil filter with Oil Filter Wrench D79L-6731-A or D79L-6731-B or equivalent. Turn 1/2 turn after gasket contact. Tighten to (optional)
11-14 Nm (8-10 ft. lbs.).
