Intake Air Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair

NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module
relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
1. Disconnect battery negative cable.
2. Disconnect wire harness from Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor.
3. Remove intake air temperature sensor from the air inlet tube between the engine air cleaner assembly and the throttle body.
4. To install, follow removal procedure in reverse order. Tighten sensor to 16-24 Nm (12-17 lb ft).
