Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve: Testing and Inspection
Shake the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve and carefully inspect it for splits or cracks. If the valve does not rattle or is damaged. replace it.
Cleaning the PCV valve is not recommended. It should be replaced at the specified mileage intervals.
