EGR Valve Position Sensor: Service and Repair
NOTE: The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve position sensor is only used on models with 49-state emission systems.
1. Disconnect EGR valve sensor wire connector at sensor.
2. Remove three EGR valve sensor retaining nuts.
3. Remove EGR valve sensor from EGR valve. Inspect and replace silicon gasket (if necessary).
4. To install, follow removal procedure in reverse order. Tighten sensor retaining nuts to 15-18 Nm (11-13 lb ft).
