Driveshaft Alignment

Before adjusting components for correct driveshaft and coupling shaft alignment, be sure to check the following.

1. Alignment of drivelines must be accomplished with the empty vehicle sitting on a hard level surface.
2. All angle measurements must be made on a surface or the component which is either parallel to or perpendicular to the centerline of the

component being measured.

3. Angle measurements must be made with either a spirit level or an inclinometer. Angle values given are nominal values with a tolerance of ±0.25

degree.
