LIGHT TRUCKS 1984 F-100-350, BRONCO
Vehicles built prior to March, 1984 may experience 3rd gear disengagement due to usage of a reduced force detent spring.
If this is diagnosed as the causal factor, replace the current spring (green) with the stronger detent spring (yellow). The shift efforts will increase
somewhat due to the increase in detent spring forces.
