Installation Procedure

1.

Prior to installing the new valve rocker arm assembly, rock assembly back and forth to create clearance between retainer and valve rocker arm,

NOTE:

The new valve rocker arm assemblies (E7TZ-6564-B) and the old valve rocker arms may be intermixed on the same engine. Engine
performance and durability will NOT be affected by intermixing components.

2.

Insert valve rocker arm assembly onto cylinder head as shown in Figure 16.

3.

Insert existing valve rocker arm bolts through valve rocker arm posts and tighten each pair of bolts evenly to 20 ft.lbs. (27 N-m).

4.

Repeat for each set of valve rocker arm assemblies.
