Clutch slippage may be caused by the hydraulic release system not permitting the pressure plate to fully engage against the clutch disc. If "bleed port" on
the master cylinder is covered by the piston when the pedal is fully up, the slave cylinder is prevented from retracting. The following procedure provides
inspection and, if necessary, service procedures for this condition.
Prior to disassembly of the hydraulic clutch actuating components, perform the following:

Raise the vehicle up on a hoist and from underneath the vehicle, place palm of hand behind the (7515) clutch release lever, (extends from clutch
housing) and slowly push forward (towards front of vehicle, with approximately 25 lbs. of force). If the release lever can be pushed forward, the
system is functioning properly and no service is required to the hydraulic clutch system. (The forward movement of the lever indicates the bleed
port of the master cylinder is uncovered.) Movement will be approximately 1/2 inch. If the release lever cannot be pushed forward, service as
noted below (Refer to Figure 17, View V):
