Timing Cover: Service and Repair
Engine Front Cover Bolt Locations
REMOVAL
1. Remove the engine.
2. Remove the water pump.
3. Remove the crankshaft vibration damper (6316).
4. Remove the oil pan (6675) and oil pump screen cover and tube (6622).
5. Remove the four engine front cover bolts.
6. Remove the engine front cover and the two engine front cover gaskets (6020).
7. Clean the engine front cover, oil pan and cylinder block mating surfaces.
INSTALLATION
Engine Front Cover
1. Install the two new engine front cover gaskets and apply Silicone Rubber D6AZ- 19562-BA or equivalent meeting Ford specifications
ESB-M4G92-A and ESE-M4G195-A to the sealing grooves in the engine front cover.
