Brake On/Off Switch: Description and Operation
PURPOSE
The brake on/off switch sends a signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to disengage the torque converter clutch when the brake pedal is
depressed. This signal may be ignored by the PCM if the throttle position signal is above closed throttle.
It also provides a brakes-applied signal to the speed control system (for deactivation), the shift lock actuator, and the anti-lock brake module.
