WARNING
USE EXTREME CARE WHEN REMOVING THE CAP FROM A HOT RADIATOR. IF POSSIBLE, WAIT UNTIL THE ENGINE HAS
COOLED, THEN WRAP A THICK CLOTH AROUND THE RADIATOR CAP AND TURN IT SLOWLY TO THE FIRST STOP. STEP BACK
WHILE THE PRESSURE IS RELEASED FROM THE COOLING SYSTEM. WHEN YOU ARE SURE ALL THE PRESSURE HAS BEEN
RELEASED, PRESS DOWN ON THE CAP (STILL WITH A CLOTH), TURN AND REMOVE IT.

Position a drain pan under the radiator drain cock, then partially drain the radiator to allow for removal of the upper radiator hose. It is not
necessary to completely drain the radiator.
4.
Remove air cleaner assembly (E-Series) or air cleaner outlet tube assembly (F-Series).
5.
When the fluid level in the radiator has lowered sufficiently, disconnect the upper radiator hose from the radiator. Position the free end of the hose
out of the way to facilitate removing the fan and clutch assembly and the fan shroud.
CAUTION
The clutch assembly nut has a left-hand thread and must be rotated clockwise to loosen.

Remove the fan assembly from the water pump shaft, using Fan Clutch Pulley Holder T83T-6312-A and Fan Clutch Nut Wrench T83T-6312B or
equivalents.
7.
Remove the fan shroud retaining screws, then remove the shroud, and fan and clutch assembly from the vehicle. Retain shroud fasteners for re-use.
8.
Install a 15 mm box end wrench on the tensioner pulley bolt, then lift tensioner arm and remove the belt.
9.
Using Steering Pump Pulley Remover T69L-10300-B or equivalent, remove the vacuum pump pulley and power steering pump pulley.
10.
Remove A/C compressor retaining bolts and position compressor aside (A/C-equipped vehicles), or remove non-A/C idler assembly retaining bolts
and remove assembly. Retain bolts for reuse.
11.
Remove vacuum pump retaining bolts and position pump aside. Retain bolts for reuse. It is not necessary to disconnect vacuum hose from pump.
12.
Remove idler assembly retaining bolt, then remove idler assembly.
13.
Remove tensioner assembly retaining bolt, then remove tensioner assembly.
14.
Remove power steering pump retaining bolts then position pump rearward out of bracket. Retain bolts for reuse.
15.
Remove A/C-P/S bracket retaining bolts then remove bracket from vehicle. Retain bolts for reuse.
Installation
1.
Install the new A/C-P/S Bracket (19E708) to the left cylinder head and install original retaining bolts. Tighten bolts to 47 N-m (35 ft-lb). Refer to
Figure 1.
2.
Position power steering pump and install original retaining bolts. Tighten bolts to 47 N-m (35 ft-lb). See Figure 1.
