Remote/Keyless Entry Module: Description and Operation
OPERATION
Anti-Theft System Arming
When the LOCK button of the remote transmitter or the power door lock switch is pressed, a signal is sent to arm the anti-theft system.
Interior Lamps
When the UNLOCK or PANIC button of the remote transmitter is pushed, the module illuminates the interior lamps for approximately 25 seconds.
Pressing the LOCK button of the transmitter or turning the ignition switch to the RUN position, will immediately turn the interior lamps off.
Door Locks
Depending on the signal received from the remote transmitter or the power door lock switch, the module sends a signal to arm/disarm the anti-theft
system, and to lock or unlock the doors.
Panic Button
When the PANIC button of the remote transmitter is pushed, a signal is sent to the anti-theft module to flash the exterior lights and sound the horn
for approximately four minutes. Pressing the button a second time will de-activate the antitheft module.
