Flywheel: Service and Repair
Primary Flywheel
REMOVAL
1. Remove the transmission (7003) and integral clutch housing. Refer to transmission and drivetrain.
Dual Mass Flywheel Assembly
2. Remove the clutch pressure plate and disc.
3. Remove two flywheel attaching bolts (6379) and install two guide studs to help support the flywheel during removal.
4. Remove the remaining seven flywheel attaching bolts, reinforcement ring and flywheel.
INSTALLATION
1. With the two guide studs installed, install the flywheel.
2. Remove the two guide studs and install the remaining two flywheel attaching bolts. Tighten bolts to 121 Nm (89 ft. lb.).
3. Install the clutch pressure plate and disc.
4. Install the transmission and integral clutch housing. Refer to Manual Transmission/Transaxle.
