Install Special Tool Torque Converter Retainer 307-346. See Figure 86.

Reinstall the transmission into the vehicle.
Refer to Section 307-01C of the appropriate 2004 Workshop Repair Manual for instructions. Fill the transmission to specification using MERCON
SP(R) Automatic Transmission Fluid (XT-6-QSP).
