Apply gasket maker to the sealing surfaces.

Tighten to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the lower shift lever boot.
7. Apply threadlock and sealer to the gearshift lever bolts, and install the upper gearshift lever.
^
Tighten to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).
8. Install the shift lever boot.
