Rear Door Exterior Handle: Service and Repair

SPECIAL TOOL(S)

REMOVAL

1. Remove the rear door trim panel.
2. Position the watershield aside.

3. Disconnect the actuating rods from the latch remote control as necessary.

4. Remove the exterior rear door handle.

Remove the rivets.

Remove the exterior rear door handle.

INSTALLATION

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:

If a new components is to be installed, refer to the Ford Master Parts Catalog for specific part information.

Use the special tool to install the new rivets.
