17. Using the special tool, disconnect the transmission cooler tubes at the external transmission filter.

Plug or cap the openings as needed.
18. If equipped, remove the transmission-to-engine bolts and the external transmission filter and bracket.
19. Remove the bolt and position aside the ground strap.
20. Disconnect the retaining clip for the transmission cooler tubes at the frame.
