Removal
NOTICE: Position a suitable protective material in front of the charge air cooler (CAC) or damage to the CAC may occur.
NOTE: It is recommended that this component be serviced with the vehicle body partially lifted. If the vehicle body can be partially lifted, refer to
Oil Pan - Lower, Partial Body Lift.
All vehicles
1. Disconnect the battery ground cables. For additional information, refer to Battery.
2. Remove the turbocharger. Carry out the Turbocharger-Body On procedure. For additional information, refer to Fuel Delivery and Air Induction.
3. Remove the upper cooling fan shroud. For additional information, refer to Cooling System.
