F 350 4WD Super Duty V8-6.4L DSL Turbo (2008)
15. Prior to removing the exhaust manifold, inspect the exhaust manifold for warpage with a feeler gauge between the manifold and the cylinder head.
Record the measurement and compare to Specifications.
16. Remove the 4 horizontal EGR cooler bracket bolts and the bracket.

Discard the bolts.
17. Remove the 4 bolts, the exhaust manifold and the exhaust manifold gasket.

Discard the bolts and gasket.
18. Remove the rivets from the back of the horizontal EGR cooler bracket. Remove and discard the EGR cooler clamps.
Installation
1. Position the new horizontal EGR cooler clamps and install new rivets.
2. Position the new gasket and the LH exhaust manifold. Loosely install the 4 new exhaust manifold bolts.
3. Position the horizontal EGR cooler bracket and loosely install the 4 new bolts.
4. Tighten the exhaust manifold bolts in 2 stages in the sequence shown.

Stage 1: Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

Stage 2: Tighten again to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
