Test E: The STOP SAFELY NOW Warning Is Inoperative/Always On (Late Build Only)

PINPOINT TEST E: THE STOP SAFELY NOW WARNING IS INOPERATIVE/ALWAYS ON (LATE BUILD ONLY)

Normal Operation

The STOP SAFELY NOW warning informs the driver that the engine exhaust temperature before entering the diesel particulate filter or after exiting
the diesel particulate filter is above the preset limits and an impending vehicle shut down is about to occur. The instrument cluster (IC) receives the
STOP SAFELY NOW command over the high speed controller area network (HS-CAN) communication bus from the PCM. The PCM monitors the
engine exhaust temperature and when the exhaust temperature is above the threshold or when the PCM fails to detect the exhaust temperature status,
the PCM sends the instrument cluster (IC) a command to turn the STOP SAFELY NOW message on.

NOTE:  The message center scrolls through all current messages and warnings. The STOP SAFELY NOW warning, if commanded on, displays in
order along with any other warnings or messages that are also being displayed.
