F 350 4WD Super Duty V8-6.4L DSL Turbo (2008)
Removal and Installation
CAUTION: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of foreign material or failure of the power
steering components may result.
1. Using a suitable suction device, remove the power steering fluid from the reservoir.
2. Remove the power steering pump pulley.
3. NOTE: The jumper line can be serviced separately. It is not necessary to remove the jumper line from the hydraulic booster when servicing the
pressure line.
Disconnect the pressure line-to-jumper line fitting.

To install, tighten to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).
4. Unclip the pressure line from the line retainer at the hydraulic booster.
5. Unclip the pressure line from the retainer near the hydraulic control unit (HCU).
6. Unclip the pressure line from the retainer on the HCU.
7. Remove the pressure line/supply hose bracket nut and position the supply hose aside.

To install, tighten to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
8. Disconnect the pressure line-to-pump fitting and remove the pressure line.

To install, tighten to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).
9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Fill the power steering system.
