Disassembly

1. CAUTION:  The fuel conditioning module that is used with the 6.4L diesel engine has a brown cover. Installing a fuel conditioning

module with a black cover may result in damage to the high-pressure fuel system.

Remove the fuel filter cover and drain the fuel from the housing.

Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

2. Remove the fuel filter and discard.
3. If necessary, remove the bolt and the drain valve cover.
4. Remove the bolts and the manifold cover.

Remove and discard the press-in-place gasket.

5. Remove the return valve assembly.
6. Remove the bolts and the fuel pump (FP).
